Terpene: Beta-Caryophyllene
Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) activates the body's Endocannbinoid System, which encourages optimal health. By Binding to the CB2 Receptors, which work with enzymes to support healthy immune function and nervous system, BCP helps the body defend against disease and maintain homeostasis. In 2008, it was determined that BCP was a dietary cannabinoid that had therapeutic potential due to antioxidant and anti-Inflammatory properties. It is great for easing pain and muscle spasms, insomnia, relief from stress and anxiety, and may improve gut health. BCP is most commonly found in Cannabis, as well as Basil, Oregano, Clove, Hops, and Pepper with an earthy wood and spice aroma.
